FAA Physicals for First, Second & Third Class  

Dr. Ron Lichtenstein is an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) certified AME (Aviation Medical Examiner) who provides Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) physicals for First, Second and Third Class. 

Ron Lichtenstein, MD is a board-certified physician and trained pilot. 

Exams are by appointment only and are performed at 2210 E. Illinois Ave Suite #406, conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Fresno. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday between 9am - 2pm.

A Process Made Simple for you

The FAA has made it mandatory for pilots to use FAA MedXPress to complete an electronic application prior to the exam. Upon completion, please print the application and bring it with you to your appointment. If you are unable to print the application, please provide us with the application number. Without the application number, we are unable to provide the service. 

By law, we are required to check your valid photo ID. You will be asked to fill out a short registration form upon arrival. While in our waiting room, you may be surrounded by pregnant patients and even some smiling babies!

Following the exam, Dr. Lichtenstein will enter the results in the FAA computer. If you pass, you will receive the medical certificate and be on your way. In the event that a potentially disqualifying condition is identified, Dr. Lichtenstein will help you formulate a plan to address it.
